About Us

The Living Resources Art Program empowers artists with disabilities to express themselves creatively and make beautiful works of art. Centered around a philosophy of empowerment through art, we have three certified sites where our talented artists can work on art while also furthering their personal goals. We also run four programs that are community centric, traveling to the different galleries and art spots around the capital region while also finding inspiration in the world around us. Working across multiple mediums including collage, mosaics, jewelry, painting, and drawing, no matter what program they are in our participants explore countless ways to express themselves. Each site has skilled, dedicated art instructors that support our artists’ creative endeavors, working side by side to help develop our artists’ skills.

In addition to our programs, we have two galleries, Beekman Street Gallery and Artfully Unique. These serve as artistic hubs where our artists can show off their work to the community. We also participate regularly in various different shows across the Capital Region. We believe that art is a powerful tool to find your voice, and we work to find every opportunity to let their voices be heard. We cannot express enough how talented our artists are and are grateful to be able to display their work.
